Dr. Megan Ziskovsky - Chiropractor

Dr. Megan Ziskovsky was born and raised in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Saint Thomas in Minnesota with a B.A. in Biology and Spanish. Following the completion of her undergraduate studies and a year long program in massage therapy, Dr. Megan relocated to Portland where she worked part-time as a Licensed Massage Therapist while she studied Chiropractic at the University of Western States. Dr. Megan Ziskovsky received her Doctorate of Chiropractic (DC) degree from the University of Western States in 2005.

Dr. Megan began her career at the Center for Chiropractic and Pain Rehabilitation (CCPR) working as an intern for Dr. Art Walker. For her first two years in practice, Dr. Megan worked at Portland Chiropractic Group. Upon Dr. Walker's retirement after 26 years of practice, Dr. Megan returned to Center for Chiropractic and Pain Rehabilitation in 2007 to take over his practice and has very much enjoyed practicing and treating patients here ever since.

Chiropractic Approach

With a holistic, comprehensive, and conservative approach to treatment, Dr. Megan enjoys treating patients of all ages. She believes that the body has the innate ability to heal itself. With chiropractic care in addition to a healthy lifestyle, diet, and exercise program, the body can function optimally and thrive. Dr. Megan enjoys providing wellness care as well as treating her Portland patients in acute pain, those with sports injuries, chronic pain and a great variety of different conditions.

Dr. Megan has a special interest in treating children and pregnant women; she has completed a year of post-graduate training in Chiropractic Pediatrics and Pregnancy Care through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is certified in Chiropractic Pediatrics (FICPA) and the Webster Technique. She is a certified practitioner of the Graston Technique®, an instrument assisted soft tissue therapy which effectively breaks down fascial adhesions and scar tissue. In addition to manual manipulation, soft tissue work, exercise and nutrition recommendations, Dr. Megan frequently treats her patients with K-Laser. K-Laser is a class IV therapeutic laser that uses red and near-infrared light to stimulate the body’s natural ability to heal. The effects of laser therapy include improved healing time, pain reduction, increased circulation and decreased swelling.  Dr. Megan has completed training in Craniosacral Therapy though the Upledger Institute. She is a proud member of the American Chiropractic Association, the Oregon Chiropractic Association and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
